About Me
I am teacher of 25+ years of teaching in a variety of settings from Nursery to adults. It all started when I saw many children struggling with learning. Understanding gaps/barriers to literacy learning especially in the formative years and understanding early child development helped me to adapt my teaching for Neurodiverse/ SpLd children. I always try to share this knowledge with professionals and parents. The impact is not always understood for Dyslexic children as schools make judgement on memory and literacy, the areas dyslexic children find most difficult. Making the whole school experience intolerable. By making changes and learning more accessible for all learners by adapting teaching methods that suited different learning styles. I feel that as a teacher I am on a learning journey with my students.

Service Description
I provide specialist Dyslexia teaching from Year 1 to Year 11 at my centre. I also carry out full diagnostic assessments for Dyslexia (SpLD), devising an individualised programme to support learning. I may use the Exercise and Sound In Education (EASIE) Programme as part of my teaching for children with Coordination Difficulties. I am an experienced teacher trainer for the EASIE Programme and specific learning difficulties. I have often visited schools for Dyslexia/Dyspraxia Awareness on inset days for teacher. I have been invited to coffee mornings in schools to provide guidance for parents.
