About Me
I am passionate about supporting children who find learning difficult and helping them grow into confident, independent learners. Over the past 20 years, I have worked across both the private and state sectors, supporting children’s development from nursery through to Key Stage 3. This breadth of experience has given me a deep understanding of how children learn and the many factors that can affect their progress. As a parent of two children with Dyslexia and ADHD, I also understand first-hand how challenging school and home life can feel for families. This personal experience has driven me to specialise in Specific Learning Difficulties, enabling me to better understand each child’s unique learning profile and provide tailored, meaningful support.

Service Description
I provide Specialist Diagnostic Assessments for children and young adults, both in schools and through my private practice. Alongside this, I continue to offer targeted tutoring support in literacy and numeracy. Working directly with learners in this way is an important part of my practice: it allows me to see how children respond to different interventions, understand what is realistically available in schools, and ensure that every recommendation I make is grounded in real, current classroom practice. This combination of assessment expertise and hands on teaching experience means parents receive advice that is not only evidence-based, but genuinely practical and achievable. I understand how children learn, how they can be supported, and how to translate assessment findings into meaningful next steps that make a difference at home and in school.
