Support for Adults

Ealing Dyslexia Association helpline volunteers are happy to discuss dyslexia-related issues. Adults can also request a personal consultation with one of our specialists. Contact Sue at 020 8579 3622.

If you are considering a diagnostic assessment, we maintain a list of Assessors, Educational Psychologists, and Specialist Dyslexia Teachers working in the area. 

Adults can request a face-to-face meeting with one of our experienced members.

If you would like help with reading, there is the Read Easy scheme. There is a local branch in Ealing.

The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) provide a comprehensive guide to dyslexia for adults.

There is helpful advice on job hunting​ and support available in the workplace.
 
We also run the Touch Typing, Reading and Spelling programme (TTRS), which we can provide at home. Contact hjfmatthews@hotmail.com for further information.

Students in Further or Higher Education

Here is a guide for applying to university or college.

Students should first consult the student support/access facilities in their chosen college or university, who can provide a wide range of advice and help with dyslexia-related issues.

We can advise on assessment processes and maintain a list of Assessors and Educational psychologists. 

Disabled Students Allowance (DSA)​

Students diagnosed with dyslexia may also be eligible for a Disabled Student Allowance to finance additional equipment and support.

Grants are available to cover a range of equipment, tutoring support and counselling.
